It’s my World, It’s My World, It’s My Maryland
In 2005 State Senator Patrick Hogan approached Damion Wolfe, Hampden resident and member of the Mill Valley Cultural Arts Umbrella, about the idea of writing a song about Maryland. Honestly Damion found the task to a bit daunting. Not being a native Marylander he thought, who was he to write this song?” Eventually he put his doubt aside and with the help of Laurie Hare he began doing some research. He found that the more he learned about Maryland and its history, the more he felt a connection with his new home. When asked what was the song about, he said, “this is just on guy’s take on our great state. I hope you enjoy it.” The song is entitled How I love My Maryland, and you can give it a listen by clicking on the link below, or we strongly suggest you purchase the CD Single at Home Town Girl located on 36th Street here in Hampden as well as being available for download from Itunes and Napster. Not only will you get a great single, you will also support a local singer song writer, and half the proceeds goes to support AEMS a nonprofit organization that supports arts and music education in Maryland Schools. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to us.
