Gemini energy - creative and exciting - will sparkle in June

By Julia Quets

The month of June picks up pace after a slow start on Sunday the 1st, with a waning moon in practical, patient Taurus. Geminis, this first half of the month is for you! By Tuesday, June 3, it’s all Gemini all the time, when the new moon in Gemini successively conjuncts Venus, the sun, and then Mercury. Responsive, curious, intelligent, and versatile, Gemini is the most adaptable of the air signs. These transits shine the spotlight onto communication, everyday routines, siblings, neighbors, and education.

Dress to thrill and have a good time on Friday, June 6, when the waxing moon in Cancer moves into regal, playful Leo at 6p.m. The fun-loving mood continues on Saturday, June 7, when the moon sextiles the sun, Mercury and Venus in Gemini; then conjuncts Mars in Leo. A day full of exciting, creative energy, with lots of get-upand-go. Sunday the 8th is more of the same, as the moon enters Virgo around bedtime.

The Jewish feast of “first fruits,” Shavuot, falls on Monday the 9th, and celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai as well as the first outpouring of nature’s bounty.

The previous Friday was light and playful, but Friday, June 13, is very different. The moon is in sultry, strong-willed Scorpio by happy hour and to further the transformative, powerful atmosphere, retrograde Pluto reenters Sagittarius late in the evening. The intense, passionate atmosphere continues on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14.

Approach Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, with care this year. It’s a day of difficult aspects; not the most appealing celestial weather. Keep it low key. If you have family problems, watch out, as the moon in Scorpio can bring out the worst behavior.

The full moon in optimistic, philosophical Sagittarius falls on Wednesday, June 18, at 1:30 p.m. Mercury retrograde glitches will mercifully cease on Thursday, June 19, as Mercury moves forward again in the sign of Gemini, until July 11. Venus, the planet of love and relationships, shifts into Cancer from the 19th through July 12, highlighting home life, domesticity, nurturing and family.

Celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, on Friday, June 20th, when the sun enters Cancer. Happy birthday to all Cancer sun signs! The key words for the sign of the crab are “I feel.” The sun will transit Cancer until July 22nd. Now that both the sun and Venus are in Cancer, home life, nurturing, food, and family will be the special focus of attention for the next three weeks. On Saturday, June

21, the moon moves into Aquarius.

Oh, what a lively exuberant Friday, June 27th. The moon in Aries forms lots of easy aspects throughout the day, including a trine to Mars in Leo: all systems are go!

But by Saturday, June 28, the energy slows to a more cautious pace as the moon in Taurus trines Saturn in Virgo. There’s no better time to do some gardening or home repairs. Uranus will turn retrograde on June 27 to November 26. Uranus is the planet of sudden change, independence, invention, revolution, and chaos.
