Art in the Park - - Saturday June 14

June 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

The Mill Valley Cultural Arts Umbrella and the Roosevelt Park Recreation Center will host the third Art in the Park of the year on Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a great open air art market at Roosevelt Park, under the trees at the intersection of West 36th Street and Falls Road. Bring your own food and drink. Umbrella Radio again will broadcast onsite, and fill the air with music and great conversation. Art in the Park, will be held on the second Saturday of each month through October from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will feature artists, crafters and antiques vendors, as well as musical performances and arts-based activities. Proceeds will fund the Mill Valley Cultural Art Umbrella’s Youth Arts Program.  To learn more, or to become a vendor, call event organizers at 410-366-7722, or send an e-mail to Eric Willison at ewillison@millvalleyarts.com.

Vendors at Art in the Park can set up shop in a 10-foot by 10-foot space. Members pay $10; non-members pay $35. You can become an MVCAU member for only $25. You also get a year’s subscription to The Umbrella magazine delivered to your home with the membership. Tables are $8 each if needed; please notify Eric if you need a table.  Setup time is between 7 and 9 a.m. Vendors must be packed up and off the field by 4 p.m. and they must remove any trash around their space, and leave the park as they found it. Please confirm your attendance ahead of time, and pay on the morning of the event.  Spaces are first-come, first-served.
